The Crooked Jacks

A contemporary twist to folk and ballad classics

About the Band

The Crooked Jacks formed in 2011, playing our first gig as support act to Irish folk legends The Wolfe Tones. Since then we have been busy writing, recording and giging, constantly honing our energy as a group. We have travelled the the length and breath of Ireland, and recently have done gigs in both the UK and America.

The Band consists of: Davey Fitz A.K.A (Daffy), who is the lead singer and guitarist; Jody Cahill who also sings and plays banjo, mandoin and guitar; Keith Byrne A.K.A (Quiche) who sings and plays percussion, bodhran and cajon drum; and Jo Jo Salmon, who sings and plays bass, banjo, mandolin and guitar.

Our unique sound blends our love of Irish music with our passion for other genres, thus creating something thats definitely different and very energetic.

Our recent sell out shows tell the story of The Clancey Brothers and Tommy Makem through song and spoken narration.
